Rectangular, round and square tops running from about 40 inches for a two-person nook up to 155 inches for a full dining room, in mango, acacia and oak on wood or iron bases. Several are pedestal designs that free up legroom, and a handful include extension leaves that take a table from roughly 55 to 70 inches or 70 to 102 inches for hosting. Browse dining tables

The two common Victoria layouts pull in opposite directions. Newer Westshore and Langford builds tend to be open-plan, where the dining table sits in the same sightline as the living room, so the table finish and the coffee table finish are worth choosing together. Older character homes in Fairfield, James Bay and Oak Bay usually have a separate, smaller dining room, where a 47 to 55 inch round often seats more comfortably than a rectangle of the same footprint.
