A sideboard is one of the few pieces that earns its place in three different rooms. Choosing well comes down to the wall it sits against and what has to fit inside it.
Most sideboards here run between about 50 and 82 inches wide, with the bulk of them in the 70 to 80 inch range, so check you have a genuinely long wall before you fall for one.
